Anyone can run a Romance Academy! Well not quite.
Nicky Gumble said of the Alpha Course, "Running Alpha without being properly trained is like learning to drive a car without having any lessons." We believe the same is true for Romance Academy.
There are a number of key ingredients, things that must happen, if an Academy is to be a success. Our conferences and resource materials identify these and explain why they are so vital to the successful operation of Romance Academy.
Our conference programme is intended to help you understand these key features and our resource material will help ensure that all the vital bits are covered as they should be. However, we also recognise that you are best placed to understand and know the needs of young people in your community. Therefore, much of our resource material is designed to allow you to modify and adapt sessions whilst ensuring that vital parts are not missed out.
Finally, we cannot change you! We firmly believe that Romance Academy only succeeds when it is led by enthusiastic people who truly believe and live out the values that underpin the Academy challenge. Leaders must 'walk the talk'.

Romance Academy Resource Pack
For those who want to set up academies in your area, there will be the opportunity to buy the Romance Academy Resource Pack. This one-off payment entitles you to run any number of academies under the Romance Academy banner with our support and resources. The pack includes:
- Complete session outlines and photocopiable handouts
- Information on setting up a group and looking for funding
- Weekend away ideas and discounts
- Team-building activity sessions
- RA support and quality control details
We are busy working on:
- CD-ROM with printable sessions
- DVD with vision soundbites and an advert for use in schools/clubs/churches
