Rachel Gardner

Rachel Gardner

Director

Many of you might recognize Rachel as the face of BBC’s, No Sex Please, We’re Teenagers, programme, which aired in 2005 and the author of best-selling book for girls, Cherished. Others, as the ubiquitous face of Harrow, North West London, where she can often be found shopping, drinking coffee and chatting to strangers (including animals, like in a Disney film) whilst writing profound insights on teenage sexuality. However, the small majority of you, will have no idea who she is. For those unfortunate few:

We introduce the vivacious Rachel Gardner, director of Romance Academy by day, lover of period -dramas and husband, Jason, by night.

Andrea Boden

Andrea Boden

National Development Officer

Andrea joined Romance Academy in February 2010 as their National Development Officer. The brief was simple: turn Romance Academy into a worldwide, multi-billion pound enterprise within the first 3 months. Amazingly, we’re only a few pence away from this modest target. Please visit our donations page to help take us over the line!

Andrea is relatively new on the charity scene having spent the beginning of her professional career working in film production. Her favourite parts of the job so far have been: all of the opportunities to meet new and amazing people across the country, road trips with Rachel Gardner, and that time on the ferry back from Belfast when the Icelandic, ash cloud struck.

Andrea is here to help RA grow in influence and maintain all of the significant relationships we currently have (over lunch if possible). If you feel you’d like to be involved with Romance Academy in some way, she’d love to hear from you.

Ruth

Ruth Stubbs

Super Administrator

To call Ruth just an Administrator is to call water, merely something that comes out of the tap. This woman is so much more. Ruth is the glue of everything we do.  If you contact RA support centre, you are more than likely get through to Ruth, whose bubbly welsh tones will brighten even the darkest of days. What’s the saying? “You can take a girl out of Wales…but you can’t take the Welsh out of the girl?” Shame. Just one of those things.

Joking aside, if you need to know anything about anything RA related and beyond, Ruth will help you, apart from on Wednesdays when she can be found teeing off on the golf course. Tiger eat your heart out.
